Holland – One Person One Bike
From a glimpse of the apocalypse to lego and and harmony. Another six weeks of fruitless attempts at getting a job, the constant reminder in the back of my head suppressed by a cloud. A bank check to realise all my savings are gone and I'm into credit have forced a decision to move on. I've managed to get myself into a rut here for the third time so I'm off to France to try WOOFing, organic farm business, work for food and board. Then I'm going to try and get back to Australia without flying funded by the axis of evil, amex, mastercard and visa. My 4 month, 4 country 12 house run of free accommodation on couches, floors and borrowed beds will end in Paris. A little news before my rant, I’ve been all over the country, crustcore gigs, hardcore vs drum’n’bass raves, job interviews, got my work visa activated a bank account but no job. So its time to move on, if I haven’t got a job in 3 months then another month won’t help, best to use my remaining credit to see Europe.
Holland to Bangladesh
Emerging from the dense smoke of Amsterdam I find myself in Bangladesh on a quest for material wealth in the spiritual heart of the world, my European trip has kicked five time zones east, a work break in the middle of my holiday, from one underwater country to another and the possibility of financial salvation from one of the poorest places on the planet. A few job interviews, the thought of full time work and an unbeatable offer from Masud, my Bangladeshi friend, to remotely manage servers and routers in Bangladesh and London have placed the Dutch working option off the agenda. I think there was the possibility of work in Holland, its just that the Dutch make it too difficult, I kept on tripping over coffee shops, not waking up for job interviews, getting Rotterdam and Leiden confused, times mixed up. If things don't work out with Bangladesh work then I'll have another crack at Holland in a month, if things work out then I'll move to Spain and setup there, working remotely. It will be difficult to decipher a route or chronology from this email, to piece it together I've gone Arnhem, Amsterdam, Arnhem, Hannover, Amsterdam, Arnhem, London, Bangladesh.
